HEAVENS ENCOUNTER
PRAYER
Taking a quiet moment to reflect; having a talk with Jesus; reading a scripture and meditating upon it. Though very different, all of these are valid descriptions of reverence and prayer unto the Lord. Prayer is an intentional and meaningful way that every individual can communicate with God. Jesus teaches us to pray: "All that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours" (Mark 11:24). No matter who you are, what your age or race may be, or what background you come from, you can deepen your personal relationship with God. So have a talk with God through prayer. Our God still answers prayers!Use these Scriptures for prayer:
Psalms, Matthew 7:7, Matthew 18:20, Luke 9:35, John 17:11, Philippians 4:6, and James 5:14.
WORSHIP
Worship is very important to God. We were created for His purpose and for His pleasures. He desires our worship more than anything else. John 4:24 says God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth. This means to love Him with all your heart and to also love Him in truth. Simply put, it means to be real with God. If you are real with God, He will be real to you. (This is what I love about my Father in Heaven so much. He accepts us just the way we are and then He changes us into that, which He wants us to be). 2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (If you spend time with God, He will spend time with you, making you more like Jesus Christ each day). So, I want to encourage you to spend some time worshipping God every day of your life.
WITNESSING
If you have never invited Christ into your heart, we invite you to do so now. If you feel you have walked away from Him, we encourage you to invite Him back into your heart with a prayer. He is the peace and assurance that we are seeking. As you begin to pray in faith, the Lord will come into your heart. God will touch you with his tender love and mercy. You are very important to God and to His Eternal Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (Jesus was made sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God). He died for us so that we may live for eternity. I am so thankful that we have this ministry of reconciliation within our compassionate hearts so that we may share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. You are the light of the world!
